WPD makes arrest following weekend shooting on Washington Street

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — An arrest has been made following a shooting in the 2100 block of Washington Street last weekend.
20-year-old Austin Lewis of Wilmington is charged for his alleged involvement in the shooting.
Lewis is currently charged with 14 counts of Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Dwelling, 4 counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Lewis was also served with a parole violation for cutting off his electronic monitoring device in December of 2023.
In addition, he is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
Lewis is currently being held at the NHCSO Detention Center without bond.
Subsequent to the arrest of Lewis, a search warrant was conducted on Daniel Boone Trail off of Gordon Road. 21-year-old Jaden Marshall was taken into custody and is charged with Firearm by Felon, Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, and was served with a probation violation.
He is also being held at the detention center without bond.
