WPD: Man walks into gas station wearing only socks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking for a man who allegedly walked into the Scotchman on Kerr Ave. and Wilshire Road naked this afternoon.

Police spokeswoman Cpl. Leslie Irving said he appeared to be under the influence of some kind of drug.

Investigators say the man grabbed a woman from behind and tried to dance with her before leaving the store.

Irving said the man was only wearing socks.
