UPDATE: Police say missing 23-year-old woman found safe

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police said missing woman Hailey Heflin, 23, has been found safe.

Police were searching for Heflin over the weekend after they said she was last seen in the 1600 block of Physician’s Dr. Friday afternoon. They said she had told her parents she was going downtown for Riverfest.

Early Monday a police spokeswoman said she was located.
