Wrightsville Beach bridge closed to overnight traffic starting Monday

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach bridge will be closed to nightly traffic beginning tomorrow.

The bridge will be shut down from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews will be doing maintenance on the bridge’s structural steel.

They expect the work will extend through Thursday morning, weather permitting.

The NCDOT says emergency vehicles will have access and law enforcement officers will be stationed on each end of the bridge during the closures.
