Wrightsville Beach bridge requires temporary lane closure

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Bridge maintenance will require a lane closure to be instituted next week on the four-lane Causeway Drive bridge in Wrightsville Beach.
Crews with the N.C. Department of Transportation will be fixing concrete spalling, which is normal wear that causes tiny pieces of concrete to flake off, as well as doing other touch-up work to the side of and underneath the bridge.
The outside lanes will close between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 7-11.
The crews will start Monday by closing the outside lane leading into Wrightsville Beach. They may continue this lane closure for a day or two, depending on the maintenance needed on that side of that bridge. Then, they’ll switch to the outside lane leaving the beach town.
