Wrightsville Beach named one of top best beaches in south

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Wrightsville Beach is getting some recognition from Southern Living Magazine for yet another year.

For the second year in a row, Wrightsville Beach has made the magazine’s list of best beaches in the south.

This year it came in at number nine on the list and writers call it a “beach lover’s haven.”

The list was selected by a crowd-sourced survey and Wrightsville Beach is the only North Carolina town on it.

Hilton Head Island in South Carolina took the top spot.
