Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue takes top title in regional competition

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A big congratulations goes out to our Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue team as they took home the top title in a recent competition.

The team representing WBOR won an overall first place in the United States Lifesaving Association South Atlantic Region Competition last week in Folly Beach, South Carolina.

It’s the fourth consecutive year the team has placed first in the regional competition. WBOR competed against more than 200 lifeguards from Virginia to Florida.
