WWAY and Novant Health host annual community health fair at Independence Mall

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — On Thursday, WWAY and Novant Health came together to host the annual Health Fair. 

Dozens of health care agencies and service providers set up booths in Independence Mall for Thursday’s fair. 

WWAY and Novant Health have been partnering for 15 years for the health fair, making it a long-standing event in the community. 

Constance Foreman is a family medicine physician for Novant Health and attended the fair. 

She says the health fair opens doors for all areas of health care. 

“It creates a one-stop shop for our community to be able to see multiple healthcare representatives. So, it’s not just our physicians that a patient needs to see; they might need to know resources for physical therapy, chiropractors, as well as other specialists,” said Foreman. 

This yearly event provides the community with access to local health professionals and to explore wellness trends.
