WWAY gets inside look at ABC’s ‘RJ Decker’ set ahead of series premiere

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY-TV) – WWAY got an inside look on Wednesday at the set of ABC’s upcoming drama “RJ Decker” filming in Wilmington.

“RJ Decker” is a new series about a former newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in South Florida. The series began filming in November at local studios in Wilmington and on-site at Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher.

The crew said there were some delays with filming over the weekend following the winter storm. The television series stars Scott Speedman as “RJ Decker.”

Speedman said despite the weather, he’s enjoyed spending most of his time in Wilmington while filming.

“You have the beach and stuff like that, my kids and my dog love the beach, I don’t think you’re supposed to have your dog on the beach, but I don’t really listen to that, I take my dog on the beach whenever I can, but to be honest if you want to see what my life looks like, it’s really here,” Speedman said.

The new drama series premieres on Tuesday, March 3 at 10 p.m., on ABC and will stream on Hulu the next day.
