WWAY’s 5th Quarter: September 1

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Week three of the high school football season in our region is nearly complete. Laney’s game with Lee County will have to be completed on Monday.

Due to the anticipated rain on Friday we had the 5th Quarter on Thursday because all of our area teams played on Thursday. We had highlights from nine games on Thursday’s 5th Quarter. We showcased the following showdowns: New Hanover-Havelock, Ashley-Fairmont, Laney-Lee County, Pender-South Brunswick, Topsail-Dixon, Trask-West Columbus, Wallace-Rose Hill-James Kenan, West Bladen-Whiteville and West Brunswick-North Myrtle Beach.
