WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former Tar basketball standout Buzz Peterson will carry his UNCW basketball squad to Chapel Hill on New Year’s Eve to face North Carolina’s Tar Heels in a reunion game for the fourth-year Seahawk head coach. Peterson played four seasons for the Tar Heels from 1981-85. Peterson was part of the 1982 national championship team for UNC.
