WWAY’s Winning Ways September 22, 2025

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Monday marks the debut of a new segment known as “WWAY’s Winning Ways.”

Every Monday, WWAY Sports will showcase the top three performances by area athletes from the week prior.

The name and theme of the segment takes inspiration from WWAY’s station call letters as well as its channel number.

This week’s inaugural countdown includes:

3. Ava O’Reilly, Topsail volleyball

2. Julius Battle, East Bladen football

1. Tre Bennett, New Hanover boys soccer
