YMCA reopens 4-lane pool

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – The Wilmington Family YMCA took another step toward restoring its facility.

Today, its 4-lane pool reopened.

The pool was shut down after a fire in February destroyed parts of the building.

So far, the Wilmington Family YMCA has restored both its 4 and 6-lane pools, plus the gymnasium will now be available during scheduled hours for members and guests to play basketball.

In September , the YMCA opened an Express Y facility on Kerr Avenue for members to use while the remaining areas are being rebuilt.
