Half of the squads were eliminated prior to Tuesday's play, but several teams from our area are still alive.

The Topsail High School baseball team lost 6-2 on Friday to South Stanly in game one of a best of 3 series for the 1-A state title. On Saturday South Stanly won 7-2 to claim the state championship.
