9 UNC employees fired or disciplined in scandal

videoUniversity of North Carolina chancellor Carol Folt says the school has fired or begun disciplinary procedures against nine employees after an investigation of an academic fraud scandal dating back nearly two decades. Local resident John Bunting, head football coach at UNC from 2001-2006, cooperated with the investigation.

Pender volleyball senior now 6th in nation in blocks; Tuesday sports from New Hanover, Laney & Hogggard too

videoPender High senior Briana Pittman moved into 6th place nationally for career blocks in high school volleyball. Pittman now has 622 career blocks. We were in Burgaw on Tuesday when Pender's state playoff game was halted in order to recognize Pittman's achievement. We also had sports coverage from New Hanover, Hoggard and Laney on Tuesday.

UNCW men picked 9th in preseason CAA basketball poll, UNCW women picked 10th

We showed his creative slam dunk on our sports on Monday night. Plus we showcased NCHSAA Hall of Fame Day from Chapel Hill where the late Joe Miller and Jack Holley were honored.

He broke the career rushing record for East Bladen Friday. Whiteville's Terrin Manning had 15 carries, 5 touchdowns and 330 yards on Friday. Plus more!

UNCW volleyball team wins; soccer falls short

videoNationally ranked UNCW lost in men's soccer on Wednesday night in Wilmington to Elon. The UNCW volleyball did not have any issues on Wednesday though. The Seahawk volleyball squad knocked off the defending CAA champs with a sweep at Hanover Hall. Plus more!
