videoLaney High School and WWAY will team up ltoday and tomorrow for the Laney-WWAY Thanksgiving Invitational. It'll be a two day basketball event. All games will be held at the Michael Jordan Gymnasium. We have details on the schedule of play along with ticket information too.

Hoggard and New Hanover both win Monday

videoThe boys basketball team at Hoggard tipped off the new season without any of their football players on Monday due to the fact the Hoggard football team is still alive in the state playoffs. Hoggard still managed to beat Coastal Christian. New Hanover and Dixon also played on Monday. The Dixon boys basketball team is considered to be one of the best 2-A teams in the state, but they were not able to defeat New Hanover. Check out our game highlights.

Coastal Cowboys looking to raise money for national cheerleading championship

videoThe cheerleaders from the Pee Wee Coastal Cowboys have qualified for the national championship in early December. The local squad is asking for help from the community to raise funds for their upcoming trip to Florida.

Virginia knocks UNCW men's soccer team out of NCAA's

videoVirginia defeated UNCW on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Seahawk David Sizemore scored the first goal of the game midway through the first half to give UNCW the lead. Virginia scored an equalizer just before the break. The Cavaliers went onto score twice in the second half to win 3-1 over UNC Wilmington.

110 points more than enough for another UNCW win

The UNCW men's basketball team scored 64 points in the second half against VMI on Saturday night. The shots were clearly falling for UNCW as the Seahawks improve to 2-1 on the season under new head coach Kevin Keatts. UNCW beat VMI 110-93. UNCW advances in NCAA Soccer Tournament

videoFreshman midfielder Kalvin Kromer and junior midfielder Daniel Escobar each scored a goal in the second half to lead UNCW to a 2-0 victory over Bucknell University in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Thursday evening. The Seahawks will now face Virginia in round two.
