video Brunswick CC has never defeated Cape Fear CC in volleyball before. The Dolphins came close on Wednesday, but the Sea Devils pulled it out at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington. Both squads are loaded with home grown talent.

Appalachian State head soccer coach dies

Former Ashley Screaming Eagle soccer standout Stanley Broaden is a freshman soccer player at Appalachian State University. Broaden's head coach was found dead at his home on Tuesday in Boone.

Seattle Seahawks add Owen Spencer to practice squad on Sunday

The Seattle Seahawks released former North Brunswick Scorpion Owen Spencer on Saturday. It's the second release this week for Spencer, but Owen Spencer isn't heading back to Brunswick County. Instead, he signed with Seattle on Sunday as a member of their practice squad.
