The UNCW men's golf team captured the CAA men's golf title on Sunday at St. James Plantation in Brunswick County. The Seahawks won by 24 strokes over James Madison. UNCW's Payne McLeod won the individual title. The UNCW baseball team dropped two games over the weekend. Wilmington's Casey Barth and Nick Becton both signed NFL contracts. Contestants from nearly 40 states and 5 nations paddled in the Carolina Cup this weekend at Wrightsville Beach. The paddle-boarding competition began near the Blockade Runner where even pro’s hit the water. Athletes raced up to 13 miles around Wrightsville Beach waters. They fought waves and currents, but are among the toughest paddlers in the world. Full story...
