12th annual ‘Guns vs. Hoses’ hockey game draws sell out crowd

'Blue Liners' secured an 8-3 win

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – Hundreds showed up at Polar Ice Wilmington to see a growing tradition between Wilmington first responders.

Both departments field full teams with customized jerseys and battle it out on the ice for pride and for a good cause.

Proceeds benefit ‘Kids Making It’, with $10,000 being the goal for this year.

The Police team got the victory over the Fire department 8-3.

Tickets had been sold out since late February.
