15 people, including 10 children, taken to hospital following lightning strike at SC lake

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WLTX) — More than a dozen people were transported to local hospitals after a reported lightning strike on the water at Lake Murray.
First responders assessed a total of 20 people—8 adults and 12 children–after lightning struck the water near the beachside of the Lake Murray Dam around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, according to officials with Lexington County.
Fifteen individuals were transported to three local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
All patients are expected to recover.
