15 years later one family continues to remember their son

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Fifteen years ago this weekend Tory Miller’s family woke up to a phone call informing them about an accident.

Four teens that had just graduated high school were on their way home from celebrating in Myrtle Beach when they were hit by a drunk driver.

Three of the four boys in the car died.

Even though every day is difficult for the family without their loved one, Tory, they have a memorial service in honor of the the three boys who lost their lives that day.

Aderinna Quince said, “my brother was only 19 he didn’t get a chance to experience life.  He had just graduated high school and there it was, a drunk driver took three lives.”

The family remembers Tory as a loving person.

His mother Tawanna Miller said, “I remember my son as quiet, sweet and he’s gone, and I have a hard time everyday.”

Miller and her family only hope that no one else has to go through what they did.

She wants people to be careful on the roads, especially during the holidays.

Linda Miller, Tory’s aunt said, “don’t drink and drive.”
