151 tickets issued during Click It or Ticket operation

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Law enforcement in New Hanover County wrote more than 150 tickets yesterday as part of the the Click It or Ticket campaign.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office SAFE unit conducted a seatbelt enforcement operation. In partnership with the Wilmington Police Department traffic unit officers issued a total of 151 charges and five written warnings at two locations Market Street and Marsh Oaks Drive and Carolina Beach Road and Northern Blvd.

The list of charges include:

111-seatbelt violations
2- Child Restraint Violations
2- Helmet law violations
4- Driving During Revocation
6- No Operator’s License/Other License Violations
8- Expired Registration Violations
4- Safety Inspection Violations
4-Texting/ Distracted driving Violations
3- Red light/ Stop law violations
1-Drug violation
1- Speeding
5- Other Violations
5- Written Warnings
