2 arrested, 2 more sought in Kinston teen’s shooting death
KINSTON, NC (AP) — Police in Kinston have arrested two teenagers and are looking for two more suspects in the shooting death of an 18-year-old.
Authorities told area media outlets that the two arrests came on Monday at a local home. The two teenagers are being held without bond and it’s not known if they have attorneys.
According to police, officers were sent to answer a call of shots fired around 5:15 p.m. Sunday at a park. When they arrived, the officers found Hines behind a church which is adjacent to the park. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
School officials say Hines was a rising senior at Kinston High School. So far, there has been no word on a possible motive.
