Army doctor victim in NC plane crash

Authorities say the victim of a weekend plane crash in Robeson County was an Army doctor who was acting chief of surgery at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center.

NC-born sailor dies of non-combat injuries at home

Military officials say a sailor from Spring Lake has died from non-combat related injuries.

The Department of Defense said Monday that 29-year-old Lt. Leonard Robinson of Spring Lake died Dec. 15, while at home on leave in Fayetteville.
