Suspect arrested in Campbell Street shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting last week on Campbell Street.

Wilmington Police spokeswoman, Linda Rawley Thompson, says 22-year-old Daquan Daniels is charged with first degree murder.

Police also say Aubrey Redd was the person killed Wednesday afternoon.

Wilmington Police spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay says when police arrived, they found a man in the 900 block of Campbell Street who had been shot. He died at the scene.
