Wilmington Senior Softball team finishes 4th

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Last week we introduced you to the guys of the Wilmington Senior Softball team before their big tournament in the National Senior Games. The games are over and unfortunately the team did not bring home the trophy.

After playing seven games in the tournament, the Wilmington Senior Softball Association 65+ team claimed the fourth place spot. The team played a total of seven games in the double elimination tournament with a 4-3 record but was only able to make it to the second day of play. Wilmington was eliminated by the team from Springfield, IL leaving them in fourth place.

Even though it wasn’t the ending the team wanted, congratulations are in order for the team representing Wilmington.
