Timeline: 60th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament
MOREHEAD CITY, NC (WCTI) — Follow along as anglers compete in the 60th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.
DAY ONE: Monday, June 11
Registration for the tournament was cut off at 9:00 a.m. as fishing began on day one of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. Officials said a total of 183 boats will be fishing in the competition. Out of those, 114 boats will be fishing and 69 will be laying on Monday. Watch live at the weigh-in station.
Saturday, June 9
The ladies kicked off their portion of the event the Keli Wagner Lady Angler tournament.
The winner of the Keli Wagner Lady Angler tournament was Lauren Dudley who weighed in a dolphin species at 52.7 pounds.
Friday, June 8
Fans are ready to see some big fish boated and brought to shore as the 60th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament week kicks off.
Friday night, a party of sorts kicked off what’s sure to be a big week of fishing, competition and fun. Big rockers from all over the country are in Morehead City getting ready for the annual tournament that’s one of the biggest in the world.
