Brunswick County Schools, College to close Monday due to weather threat

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Both Brunswick County Schools and Brunswick Community College have announced closures for Monday, as officials monitor the threat of severe weather.

Brunswick Community College says all campus locations, including the Dinah E. Gore Sports & Aquatics Complex and the Odell Williamson Auditorium, will be closed. Classes will move to remote learning where possible.

Brunswick County Schools will also be closed to students Monday. District officials said staff will receive additional details through their BCS email and supervisors. Families and employees will be notified no later than 5 p.m. Monday about plans for Tuesday.
