70+ jobs headed to Brunswick County

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Compass Pointe and Magnolia Greens are looking to fill about 70 new positions. Friday they held a job fair at the Best Western in Leland where folks could get right down to interviewing.

“We’re looking for 70 full time and part time employees,” said Rick Sears a consultant for the courses.

Positions like servers, bartenders, line cooks and more are now open at both courses.

“We have a brand new facility at both courses and it should be up within the next two months and we need to fill it with very good staff from the area,” said Sears.

Dozens came out today with resumes in hand to interview for the positions.

“I just moved down here from Pittsburgh about two weeks ago, so I haven’t been looking for long, but I’ve definitely gone on a few interviews and really haven’t gotten anything yet,” said job seeker Elizabeth Persia.

The fair will continue tomorrow at the Best Western from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
