Tickets on sale to see WWAY’s Hannah Patrick compete in ‘Dancing with the Seahawks’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — You can now buy tickets to see WWAY’S Hannah Patrick compete in Dancing with the Seahawks this spring and she needs your help to win.

Dancing with the Seahawks is a new event that will be similar to “Dancing with the Stars”. The event will raise money for the UNCW women’s basketball team.

Hannah is paired with Roman, professional dancer from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Wilmington. She will compete against five other “local stars” in a friendly dance competition at the Warwick Center on April 21.

The five local ‘stars’ are news anchors Hannah Patrick and Frances Weller, Radio host and DJ Bigg B from 97.3, Vice Chancellor for student affairs at UNCW Christine Reed Davis, and UNCW men’s basketball assistant coach Craig Ponder.  They will compete in a round of dancing on April 21.

Hannah needs your support to win. When you purchase your tickets, make sure you make a note in the comments section saying “for Hannah Patrick”.

All proceeds go to the team’s trip to Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving to play in the Puerto Rico Clasico. UNCW women’s basketball head coach Nicole Woods came on Good Morning Carolina to talk about the fun event happening in April.

Dancing with the Seahawks is happening April 21 from 5 to 9 p.m.
