Nine local beaches nominated in USA TODAY best NC beach contest
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Several local beaches have been nominated for the best in North Carolina.
A USA TODAY contest has picked 20 beaches to choose from, with nine being Cape Fear beaches.
Carolina Beach, Holden Beach, Kure Beach, Oak Island, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach, Surf City, Topsail Beach and Wrightsville Beach all making the cut.
You can vote once per day until voting ends on May 20th at noon. The 10 winners will be announced on May 29th.
