Raffle for restoration winner announced for trip to stay at Frying Pan Tower

FRYING PAN SHOALS (WWAY) — The raffle for restoration to win a trip to Frying Pan Tower is now over with one lucky person winning a 3-day, 2-night stay for four at the tower.

The raffle for restoration raised $73,000 for the non-profit to help restore the tower.

Executive director of Frying Pan Tower Richard Neal announced the winner of the adventure trip on social media on Monday. Neal said Stacie Hansley of Durham won the grand prize and will get to bring three guests for an adventurous three days and two nights on the Frying Pan Tower.

This is the second year the non-profit held the raffle for restoration.  Neal said 713 people bought tickets last year. This year, Neal said 1,921 people bought tickets. The tickets this year were only $10, but Neal said the exposure for the tower is incredible. He hopes to continue holding the raffle to continue restoration on the tower.

We have more information on how you can book a trip or volunteer to help restore the tower on our website in our Voyage to Frying Pan Tower series.
