A sharpening coastal trough over the waters will combine with strong high pressure from the north to bring sunshine and clouds Thursday with a slight chance of a shower along the coast and moderating highs around or a little over 70.
Friday and this weekend high pressure will remain in charge bringing very nice weather for the Azalea Fest in Wilmington. Look for mainly sunny skies Friday and into this weekend. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s Friday and near 80 this weekend!
The high pressure system moves over the Atlantic early next week but continues to control our weather keeping dry conditions in place. Look for mostly sunny skies next Monday with sunshine and scattered clouds next Tuesday. Highs both days will average around 80.
No appreciable rainfall is expected over the next 7 days and with moderate to severe drought in place… be very careful with flame and heed the North Carolina statewide burn burn in place.
