Cooler temperatures to start out the week

(WWAY) — You might need your jacket this morning after a cold front moved through last night.
Cooler air arrives today with mostly sunny skies. Afternoon highs will rise into the low to mid 70s. High pressure fully dominates Tuesday bringing plentiful sunshine with chilly lows in the mid to upper 40s and afternoon highs in the mid 70s. The high pressure continues to dominate but shifts offshore Wednesday leading to mostly sunny skies and milder highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. More dry weather lingers Thursday with a good deal of sunshine and warm highs in the mid 80s. Low rainfall totals continues over the next 7 days. A slight chance of showers possible next weekend. Unfortunately, it will not be enough to relieve the ongoing severe drought in place.
