ACC Barnstorming Tour to stop in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The ACC Barnstorming Tour is coming to the Port City.
Next month, the ACC All-Stars will be at New Hanover High School for a game, and fans will be able to meet them.
This year’s roster will feature players from UNC, Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest. They will include Kennedy Meeks, Isaiah Hicks, Trent Vanhorn, Matt Jones, and Chris Brickhouse.
This is the 39th year of the tour, but it has been over 5 years since it has been in the Cape Fear area.
And one player, Stilman White, is no stranger to Wilmington: he’ll be coming back to play in his home town.
New Hanover High School Coach Vertha Dixon-Wright said she’ll be happy to see White again.
“He played at Hoggard, so he is used to playing on the Brogden Hall floor,” she said. “It will be good to bring him back and have some of his friends—or maybe foes—back in the gym.”
Admission to the event is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Click here to purchase your tickets.
Proceeds will benefit New Hanover High and the Ronald McDonald House.
