Annual ‘Doggie Eggstravaganza’ being held next month in Oak Island

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Your furry friend has the chance to hunt for Easter eggs next month in Oak Island.

The 7th annual Doggie Eggstravaganza is taking place on March 16th, offering yummy treats inside each egg.

The free event begins at 11:30 a.m. inside Bill Smith Park, at the Salty Dog Park on Fish Factory Road.

There will be two egg hunts held, one for dogs weighing more than 25 pounds and another for dogs less than 25 pounds.

Pets must be up to date on vaccinations to take part.
