Artists applications being accepted for ‘BUZZWORTHY’ bee sculptures at Airlie Gardens

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Airlie Gardens is accepting artist applications for their newest exhibit, ‘BUZZWORTHY!’.

Through April 1st, artists can submit their plans to paint, decorate or otherwise adorn one of 10 oversized bee sculptures to be displayed in the gardens from July through December. All levels of artists are welcome to apply (amateur, professional, single artists, groups of artists, etc).

Select honeybees on display during BUZZWORTHY! will be available through an online auction with a buy-now option for that honeybee you just can’t risk losing. The auction will open December 1st at 9:00 a.m. and closes December 31st at 11:45 p.m.
