Ashley baseball falls in 4A state title game

Screaming Eagles lose in two games to now back-to-back champs T.C. Roberson

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – Ashley’s historic baseball season has come to a close with a loss on the biggest stage. The #1 seed in the east fell to the back-to-back state champs from the west, T.C. Roberson.

Saturday’s game ended with a final score of 8-1, after falling 3-0 the night before.

The run seemed magical, collecting four walk-off wins in the state playoffs alone. Even though all the games were close, the Screaming Eagles 11-3 record won them the Mideastern and secured the top seed in the 4A east.

Ashley ends the ’24 season with a remarkable 26-6 record.
