Ashley’s Saniya Rivers leads N.C. State to huge upset victory over #2 Uconn
Rivers is the first player with at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists vs. UConn over the last 25 seasons
RALEIGH, N.C. (WWAY) – Ashley alum Saniya Rivers helped her N.C. State Wolfpack avenge their 2022 loss to Uconn in the NCAA Tournament in emphatic style. They defeated the #2 team in the land 91-82 Sunday afternoon.
Rivers poured in a career-high 33 points against the Huskies.

Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma, who coaches Connecticut, called Rivers “the most dominant player on the court by far.”
It’s the Wolfpack’s first win over the Huskies since 1998.
