At least 39 injured in knife attack at China kindergarten

BEIJING (AP) — State media report at least 39 people have been injured in a knife attack on a kindergarten in southern China.

The local government said 37 students and two adults had suffered varying degrees of injury.

The reports said the attacker was a school security guard whose motive was not yet known.

The attack in the Guangxi region was an eerie throwback to a series of deadly attacks at schools in China in past years that prompted increased security.
