Bill Clinton to raise money for wife in Raleigh, Greensboro
RALEIGH, NC (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton is coming to North Carolina early next month to attend some private fundraisers to benefit his wife’s presidential campaign.
A Raleigh fundraiser is planned for the evening of Dec. 7, and Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign finance committee member Bruce Thompson confirmed Thursday that another event in Greensboro will be held that afternoon. Details on the Greensboro event were still being finalized.
The Raleigh invitation seeks donations of at least $500. Those who give $2,700 – the maximum allowed during the primary season – can get a photo with the former president, while people who help raise even more can attend a special reception with him.
North Carolina’s Democratic presidential primary is March 15.
