Bladen County saturation patrol results in two arrests and multiple citations

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — On Wednesday, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office conducted a saturation patrol just outside of Elizabethtown which led to two arrests.

During the saturation in the area of Willard Tatum Road and US 701 North, a vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation.

According to the sheriff’s office, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and narcotics and a firearm were located during the investigation.

Eric Phillips, 42, of Elizabethtown was arrested and charged with two counts of felony possession of schedule II-controlled substance and carrying concealed weapon.

Phillips is being held in the Bladen County Detention Center with a $5,000 secured bond.

Rodney Curtis Jr., 37, of Dublin was charged with felony possession of schedule II-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Curtis is being held in the Bladen County Detention Center with a $10,000 secured bond.

Bladen County Sheriff’s Office added that during the saturation, 20 tickets and warnings were issued, along with locating one wanted subject.
