Boys & Girls Clubs launch first summer camp in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina is launching its first-ever summer camp in Brunswick County.
The summer camp, designed for rising first through 12th graders, will provide a variety of activities focused on creativity, teamwork, and personal development. Participants will engage in six core programs: arts, sports, education, health and wellness, character and leadership, and workforce readiness. The program aims to keep youth active and learning while fostering important life skills.
“Our program provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where youth and teens can explore their interests, build confidence, and develop essential life skills,” said Dawn-Michele Blalock, CEO of BGCSENC. “We are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to make meaningful summer memories while preparing for a successful school year ahead.”
The camp will run from June 9 to Aug. 1, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily, along with academic initiatives, sports and recreation activities, and leadership training.
Summer Camp Program Highlights:
Session 1: June 9 – July 3
Session 2: July 7 – Aug. 1
Rising 1st – 6th grade: $250 per session
Rising 7th – 12th grade: $50 per session
