Brunswick Co. girl fighting brain cancer heads home from hospital

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — We have some exciting news for a little girl who is fighting a rare cancer. According to the Team Madison-Donut Give Up Facebook page, she is back home!

Last year, Madison Williams was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Madison and her family’s lives turned upside down in March last year when doctors found the brain tumor.

Madison has been receiving treatment at multiple hospitals including Chapel Hill.

A fundraiser golf tournament is being held February 17 in support of Madison’s fight.
