Brunswick County man arrested on multiple charges

LONGWOOD, NC (WWAY) — A man was arrested and faces multiple charges including drug trafficking and gun possession.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Ward Road as part of an ongoing investigation.

Investigators seized two guns, about 42 grams of crack cocaine, and money.

Michael Daniels, 61, of Longwood was arrested on Tuesday and charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances, felony trafficking in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and he may face more charges.
