Cancellations and delays for Monday as tropical like conditions impact the Cape Fear

Here’s the latest cancellations and delays for Monday, September 16th at 10:25 a.m
SCHOOLS
- Brunswick County Schools will be closed to students. For staff, it will be an optional workday. Employees are encouraged to check their email for a complete list of available options.
- Calvary Christian School will be dismissing at 1:00pm, no aftercare
- Cape Fear Academy lower school closing at 11:30am, middle and upper schools close at Noon
- Classical Charter Schools in Leland, Whiteville, Southport, and Wilmington will be closed on Monday. Remote learning will be in place for students.

- Columbus County Schools will be in remote Instruction on Monday for students and staff. All after-school activities are canceled.

COLLEGES
- Brunswick Community College and all campus locations will delay opening to 9:30 AM. Classes will take place remotely where possible. This opening delay includes the Dinah E. Gore Sports & Aquatics Complex and the Odell Williamson Auditorium.
- Cape Fear Community College and all campus locations closing as of 1 PM
GOVERNMENT
- County Government Offices will close at 3:00pm, commissioners meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. Meeting is rescheduled for September 23.
BUSINESSES/EVENTS
- Wrightsville Beach Farmers Market
- Wilmington Flu drive-thru vaccine clinic; rescheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at 1507 Greenfield Street.
