Cape Fear Community College rolls in MLK Day sweep


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It was two decisive wins for both the Cape Fear Community College mens and womens teams on Monday during their annual MLK Day games.

In the mens game is was all Sea Devils from the opening tip as they jumped out to the big halftime lead and cruised to the 101-42 win to improve their record to now an impressive 15-2 overall and a perfect 3-0 on their home court.

The womens game was a bit closer with neither team pulling away after one quarter. The second half proved to be difference as the Sea Devils came away with the 72-60 win. That makes it now four wins in a row for CFCC.

The womens team will hit the road on Wednesday night to take on Lenoir Community College , while the Sea Devil men have a rivalry game with Brunswick County Community College.
