Car drives through Oak Island thrift store


OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY)–  An Oak Island thrift store faces structural damage after a car ran into the front of the building this afternoon.

It happened at the Thrift Store and More on East Oak Island Drive. Brunswick County dispatchers say the call came in around 1:00. The Oak Island police chief says the car was turning into the thrift shop when another car rear ended them sending them into the store.

No injuries were reported, but the car and the store itself are damaged.
