Carolina Beach amusement park remains closed pending state inspections

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) – There’s still no word on when the Carolina Beach boardwalk amusement park rides will be up and running.

We found out Friday from the park’s Facebook page that they’re still waiting for the state inspection to be complete.

According to one of the amusement park’s contractors, the rides were supposed to open Friday, but now they’re being told Tuesday or Wednesday.

Although the rides are not open, a handful of games and all food stands are open for business.

We reached out to Megerle Shows for a response and we have not heard back.
