Carolina Railhawks owner among those indicted in FIFA investigation

CARY, NC (WTVD) — ABC11 has learned the owner of the Carolina Railhawks is among the officials with FIFA who are being indicted in connection with a federal corruption investigation.

Swiss authorities have already arrested some officials with soccer’s international governing body, law enforcement officials told ABC News.

According to the Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs, nine FIFA officials and five corporate executives have been indicted for racketeering conspiracy and corruption.
